Bangladeshi company to invest $23.741m in Ishwardi EPZ

Sunman Industrial Corporation Limited, a Bangladeshi Company, will set up a home textile (weaving,
dyeing) manufacturing industry in the Ishwardi Export Processing Zone.
The 100 per cent local owned company will invest about Taka 161 crore (US$ 23.741 million) to set up the industrial unit to produce textile and other related products, a press release of BEPZA said here today.
The company will also create employment opportunity for 5,412 Bangladeshi, including 12 foreign nationals. An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and the Sunman Industrial Corporation Limited in BEPZA Complex here yesterday.
Prasanta Bhushan Barua, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Major (retd) Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of Sunman Industrial Corporation Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations'.
